It is important to keep your players and goalies healthy. The higher their health the better they will play. If a player's or goalie's health is low they will have a greater chance of being injured. Your players and goalies lose health from playing games and training. The ice time they have compared to their stamina skill determines the health they will lose. Every morning players and goalies gain 10 health from sleeping. They can gain an additional 10 health if they are scheduled for a day off from training.
